Empowered by Good News of Jesus Christ, the mission of the Freed for Life Campaign is to bring new life and hope to the incarcerated and to those who are reentering society by raising financial support and public awareness of prison ministry throughout the Nebraska Synod of the ELCA.
Contributions will support Followers of Christ Ministry in the Nebraska State Penitentiary, a ministry of Mission Field Nebraska; The Bridges to Hope program, which provides clothing and household items to those leaving prison; the FEAST at Our Saviour’s Lutheran Church, which assists inmates on work release from the Lincoln Community Correctional Center; and Muriel’s Fund, a foundation to provide long term support for prison ministry in the Nebraska Synod of the ELCA.
